The Taisei Group believes that it is important for various entities to cooperate and actively engage with each to resolve global-scale sustainability issues. We participate in various domestic and international initiatives.
Endorsement of Initiatives
The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is a global framework that encourages companies and organizations to take responsible and creative leadership and to act as good members of society toward attaining sustainable growth.
The Taisei Group participated in the Global Compact Network Japan (GCNJ), which is a local network of UNGC in Japan in April 2018 and committed to implementing the Ten Principles in the four areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.
Taisei Corporation has been participating in GCNJ subcommittees and promoting activities for realizing a sustainable society while working along with other member companies and groups. In FY2025, Taisei Corporation participated in the following subcommittees.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Taisei Group promotes initiatives in our efforts to contribute towards attaining the SDGs composed of 17 goals and 169 targets established in “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015.

CDP / CDP Japan Club

CDP
CDP is a British-based international environmental nonprofit organization that operates a global disclosure system for information relating to environmental impact.
CDP asks companies in major nations with a top share of total market value to disclose information on their impact on climate change, forests, water, and so on. It discloses the assessment scores based on companies' responses, which are referenced by many institutional investors.
CDP Japan Club
As a member of the CDP Japan Club sponsored by CDP Worldwide Japan, Taisei Corporation conducts initiatives for environmental issues and exchanges views regarding information disclosure to enhance our efforts and appropriately disclose information.
SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative)

SBTi is an international initiative that helps companies to set science based targets (SBT) for greenhouse gas emission reduction, reviews and validates the targets. The two CO2 emissions reduction targets for 2030 established as milestones in Taisei Corporation's “Taisei Green Target 2050” have been certified as SBT, by the initiative.
TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) /
TCFD Consortium

In July 2020, Taisei Corporation declared its support for the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) recommendations. As a member of the TCFD Consortium, which is where discussions take place, we disclose information based on the disclosure framework of the final TCFD report.
TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosure) /
TNFD Forum

From July 2022, Taisei Corporation has supported the philosophy of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and has been participating in the TNFD Forum. Through this, we will work to set up a framework for the assessment and disclosure of risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity, and contribute to the achievement of sustainability and resilience for society as a whole.
Keidanren Initiative for Biodiversity Conservation

Taisei Corporation has expressed its support for the 2020 Declaration of Biodiversity by Keidanren and Action Policy. We joined the Keidanren Committee on Nature Conservation and promote initiatives for biodiversity conservation through information sharing of activities and so forth.
Eco-First Commitment
Participation in the Eco-First Council

In May 2012, Taisei Corporation submitted an Eco-First Commitment to the Minister of the Environment and was certified as an Eco-First Company. We are steadily fulfilling this commitment.
Furthermore, we serve as the coordinator of the Eco-First Promotion Council, which is made up of the 94 companies that have been certified as Eco-First Companies (as of March 2024). We are working to strengthen our cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment and the other Eco-First Companies to resolve environmental issues.

Taisei corporation has been selected for the "Digital Transformation Stocks (DX Stocks) 2025." This recognition is based on the clear DX strategy in conjunction with the [TAISEI VISION 2030], DX promotion of the construction production processes, and posting of information on the company websites and YouTube.
The Valuable 500

Taisei Corporation joined the “The Valuable 500,” a global initiative aiming to enhance disability inclusion in society in May 2021. The initiative was launched at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (Davos Forum) held in January 2019.
